Adorable Birds Nest Magnet

For today's post, I'm going to show you how to make an adorable birds nest magnet. You can use it on whiteboards, your fridge, anything with a strong enough magnetic pull. These are pretty easy to make and don't require that much time. (Contrary to what my dad might have sad during the photography process.)

Here's what you'll need:

One pair of scissors
One relatively big ball of golden clay
A magnet
A ball of white clay
A ball of light pink clay
 A
quite big, ball of green or blue clay
A scratching tool (To make scratches on the birds nest)

First, take your  ball of golden clay...

...and press your thumb into the center of the ball, then pinch all the way
around the edges of your bowl shape.

It should look something like this.
Now, take your scratching tool,
and scratch the outside and the inside edges at random angles
with it.

It should look sort of like this.

Put your birds nest aside, and take a ball of pink clay about so
big, and roll it into an egg shape.
Then repeat the last 2 steps with both the white and some of green.

It Should look like this.
Now, take a ball of green clay slightly bigger than the ball you made for the
egg...

...And roll it into a cylinder, but make the top slightly thinner than the
bottom.
Pinch the edge of  the fat side to create the bird's tail.

Take another ball of green the same
size as the ball you made for your green egg, and
press the one side in to create a flat edge.
This is where you're going to put the beak.

Next, you're going to pinch the top of the opposite side to the one you flattened to create a crest on the top of the bird's head.

Now take a relatively small ball of pink clay, and press all three sides to create a triangle shape.
This is your beak.

Now, press your beak to the flattened edge on the bird's face.
Then, take a ball of pink clay slightly smaller than the previous
ball of clay, and make it into a small eye shape.
Make two of these balls.

Press the eyes on either side of the bird's head.
It should look like this.
Next attach the bird's head to it's body.
It should look like this.

Next, take a ball a ball of white clay, and roll it into the shape of a Tick Tack.
Squish your Tick Tack shape to create an oval pancake looking thing.;).Take two small balls the same size as the ones for the eyes of the bird, and flatten them to make his feet.

Press your oval pancake to your bird's tummy and push the feet to the bottom of his body.
It Should look like this.

So now you are going to put all three of your eggs in a ring, leaving some space for mama bird.

Next, cut one third off of your magnet.
Then, put your bird into the nest with her eggs encircling her, and push your small piece of magnet to the back of the nest, so it looks like they're looking out from a tree.

Now bake and use! These tweety treats will make you want to sing every time you see them, and they are guaranteed not to drive you cuckoo;)
XOXO

Authors note: When making the nest, you might want to add some snakes of  gold clay to the edges to represent  twigs.

Super Sweet Cupcake Necklace

Today I'm  going to show you how to make a super sweet cupcake necklace. This tasty trinket is super easy to make and totally fashionable in a super cute way.
Here's what you'll need:

One eye pin
The cap of a tube of toothpaste
A necklace chain
Scissors
A light color of clay such as pink, lavender, white, ect.
Either golden brown,or regular brown clay (for the actual cake part)
And a ball of red scrap clay
First, take a ball about so big,

and  roll your fingers around the bottom of the ball to form a cupcake shape.

Now take the cap of a tube of toothpaste, and roll it
along the cupcake form to create a nice texture along the base of the cupcake.
It should look something like this.

Then, take a pink ball of clay slightly smaller than the first...

...and flatten the bottom of the ball to create a rounded cone shape, somewhat like the head of a
mushroom.

Press the cone onto the thick end of the cake part you made just now.

Now take your ball of red scrap clay...

...and press it to the top of your cupcake.

Now, making sure that the eye of the eye pin sticks up
from the top of  the cherry, compare your eye pin next to your cupcake
and pinch down right where the exes wire starts.

Keeping your fingers pinched over the spot, take
your scissors and cut where you are pinching to create a shorter version of your original eye pin.

Push the eye pin into the cupcake.

It should look kind of like this.
Then cut a piece of wire about an inch long,
and thread the piece of wire though a chain in the middle of the necklace.

Then, thread the piece of wire through the eye of the cupcake
and close it of by twisting the two sides of the wire together.

This is the final product.
Done! Now you are done, after you bake it of course;)

These are adorable and make you look fantastic and super cute.

Simple Rose studs\dangles

In this post, I'm going  to show you how to make simple rose studs/dangles. I personally think that the studs look better than the dangles, but that's just my opinion. These are relatively easy if you have a lot of scraps of clay of the same size and color

This is the beginning of part 1: the studs

Here's what you'll need:
one pair of scissors,
two studs and/or dangle hooks,
 one spool of wire,
and a ball of clay.

To start with, you are going  to take a small ball of clay...

... and squish it down to create a long, rounded shape.
Then, curl it into a nice spiral, like the middle of a rose.

Now take another ball, slightly smaller than the first,

and flatten it, but this time smaller and rounder than the first one.
You are going to make five of these petals.

Take the spiral and press the petals to it.
Put  two on and put one over the small crack in between the two. Repeat these steps until you have used
 all your petals.
If you want more petals, try to make them a little longer than the others.

It should look a bit like this.
Now cut about a centimeter of the back of the rose.

Now you are done.Which is better? Studs or dangles?
You decide!Vote in the comments below!
This is the beginning of part 2: The Dangles
First, follow the first 9 steps to make a rose without the studs.
Next, cut a piece of wire and twist it through the  loop of the dangle
hook and push it down to create a loop.

It should look like this.

Push the loop into the rose. It should look like this.

Now bake and wear.
These rosy delights make spectacular party favors, or just something to make friends jealous.
Either way, they're adorabull, whether it's studs or dangles, and don't forget to vote in the comments below;)
